About the Role
We are looking for a Technical Account Manager (TAM) to provide hands-on technical services to Datadog’s largest customers. You will support product adoption, provide guidance, and act as a trusted advisor to maximize business value from IT operations. This hybrid role involves collaborating closely with customers and internal teams to ensure customer success.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on technical support and product adoption throughout pre-sales, post-sales, and renewal cycles
- Analyze customer IT environments and recommend strategies to maximize Datadog’s value
- Advocate for customers by understanding their goals, use cases, and suggesting product configuration and adoption
- Prepare and participate in Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews
- Collaborate with product management, engineering, and technical services to identify new features and products
- Continuously improve best practices for product adoption and customer success
Required Skills
- Solid technical background and hands-on IT Operations experience
- Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Comfortable with scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Ruby, Perl, Go, PHP, Chef/Puppet)
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab
- Knowledge of containerization tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Rancher
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time and sit for extended periods during client visits
- Previous experience as a TAM supporting mid-market and/or enterprise customers in cloud environments
- Familiarity with Datadog or other cloud monitoring tools
- Strong communication skills and a passion for customer success
