About the Role
The Perl Developer position involves developing and maintaining in-house software solutions using the PAL framework within a legacy system running on SUSE Linux. This role requires independent programming, thorough testing, and close cooperation with colleagues to address a variety of technical challenges. Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Perl programs using the PAL framework in a legacy system under SUSE Linux.
- Independently program and test technical developments.
- Analyse source code and collaborate on resolving diverse technical issues.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Perl, particularly with the PAL framework.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases, including DB++ and SQL.
- Fluent German language skills and good English proficiency.
- Methodical, detail-oriented approach with high levels of initiative and commitment.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Java, Java EE, and both front-end and back-end development (HTML/CSS/JavaScript).
- Prior work in environments with democratic leadership structures.
- Familiarity with legacy systems and Linux-based environments.
