About the Role
We are seeking a Freelance Document Composition Developer to support our internal team on various document generation and data extraction projects related to our business applications. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Perl scripting and LaTeX formatting, and comfortable working in a freelance/consultant capacity within an agile, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop Perl-based data extraction scripts using existing libraries
- Format and compose output documents using LaTeX
- Write and maintain technical specifications and documentation
- Contribute to setting up interfaces with external print service providers (data formats, production tracking)
- Assist in qualification and resolution of requests and incidents
- Keep task tracking and reporting tools up to date (Jira)
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Perl programming, particularly for data processing
- Strong experience with LaTeX for document composition and formatting
- Ability to write clear technical documentation
- Familiarity with incident management and request tracking tools such as Jira
- Good communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in Ă©ditique/document composition projects
- Understanding of production processes and data flow between systems
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
