Location: Aylesbury – Hybrid (3 Days onsite, 1-2 days at home)

A forward-thinking financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Developer to join its team. You’ll play a key role in developing and maintaining front-end applications and back-end databases across Windows and Linux environments, ensuring solutions are high quality, efficient, and secure while aligning with the organisation’s strategic architecture.
Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and enhance software solutions across both front-end and back-end systems.

Collaborate with business analysts and end users to understand and deliver on business requirements.

Ensure applications meet security, data protection, and regulatory standards.

Produce and maintain clear technical documentation.

Participate in peer reviews, testing (unit, system, regression), and user acceptance support.

Provide some 3rd line application support, including occasional out-of-hours or callout cover.

Support overnight batch processing and identify opportunities to improve performance and stability.

Build cross-system knowledge within the team to ensure resilience.

Undertake ad hoc duties as required and comply with FCA and PRA conduct and Consumer Duty standards.

Experience & Qualifications

Financial services experience, ideally life and pensions, desirable.
Technical Skills:
Languages & Frameworks: Essential skills: COBOL, C, C#, and desirable across Java, .NET, Python, Perl, Smalltalk
Databases: SQL, SQL Server (SSIS & SSRS), PostgreSQL
Tools & Technologies: Visual Studio, Git, Papyrus Software, XML
