Information Security Systems Analyst with Perl

Role Overview

This is a fully remote position within the U.S.

Bright Horizons is seeking an Information Security Systems Analyst to oversee the security components of infrastructure, support, and application development projects. In this role, you’ll identify and assess security risks, recommend mitigation strategies, and implement best practices across various systems and platforms.

You’ll play a critical role in defining and maintaining security standards for tools, conducting vulnerability assessments, supporting incident response, and evaluating third-party vendors. This position also involves providing expert guidance across teams, reviewing security logs, contributing to security planning, and staying up to date with cybersecurity trends and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and manage security risks in infrastructure and application projects.

• Define security requirements in alignment with industry standards and global regulations.

• Conduct vulnerability scans, penetration testing, and remediation activities.

• Collaborate with internal teams to strengthen system defenses and guide security practices.

• Analyze current security systems and document configurations.

• Maintain policies and reports for tools like DLP, SIEM, AV, IDS, and Active Directory.

• Investigate security incidents and participate in response efforts.

• Evaluate and work with third-party security vendors.

• Contribute to strategic planning and budgeting for security infrastructure.

• Communicate security updates and requirements clearly to all stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or a related field (or 3+ years of additional relevant experience).

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in system and/or network administration.

• Occasional travel (1–2 trips per year).
