About the Role
As a Sr. IT Systems Administrator at Rimini Street, you will support the primary data center, Disaster Recovery site, global remote sites, and users. This role focuses mainly on Linux and Windows infrastructure management with an emphasis on Linux. You will manage cloud environments (Azure, AWS), VMware, backups, storage, Active Directory, monitoring, and IT tickets. While primarily remote, occasional onsite visits to the Las Vegas data center and office are required. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and automate cloud and on-premises infrastructure using tools like Terraform
- Support Azure, AWS, VMware environments, including servers, containers, storage, and virtual infrastructure
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and report on backups of VMs, servers, databases, and files
- Maintain Print Servers, DFS, Active Directory, DHCP, and DNS infrastructure
- Manage data centers and support related hardware such as UPS and PDUs
- Collaborate with other departments to build and troubleshoot virtual systems and cloud access
- Use monitoring tools like SolarWinds for proactive system monitoring and troubleshooting
- Participate in rotational on-call support and off-hours maintenance as needed
- Lead and complete projects on time
- Write and maintain detailed documentation and process improvements
Required Skills
- 7+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure (primarily Azure and AWS) and data center support
- Strong Linux (RHEL, SUSE, CentOS, Ubuntu) and Windows Server administration experience
- Proficiency with VMware, Kubernetes, Terraform, and backup systems
- Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, and Perl
- Solid knowledge of Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and Group Policy management
- Experience with automation and infrastructure provisioning using Terraform
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, Linux certifications) are a plus
