About the Role
Quite Good is seeking a Software Developer (Perl / Unix) to join one of its client projects. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that handle and deliver large volumes of data across multiple communication channels. The position is ideal for someone who thrives in a technically diverse environment, enjoys problem-solving, and values operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement business requirements for both internal and client projects.
- Maintain and optimize applications in production environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Identify and implement continuous technical improvements.
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams and external technology partners.
- Contribute to technical documentation, testing, and deployment processes.
- Estimate development workloads and ensure high-quality deliverables.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in Perl and Shell scripting.
- Experienced in Unix/Linux environments.
- Familiarity with Git version control and DevOps/CI-CD practices.
- Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively in a team.
- Full professional proficiency in English (French is a plus).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of experience in software development or IT systems integration.
- Knowledge of AFP, PostScript, or PCL formats, Docbridge software, and OCR/ICR workflows.
- Experience with print management tools is an advantage.
