About the Role

This Software Engineer position bridges the gap between technical engineering and solution delivery. The selected candidate will work closely with the sales and delivery teams, supporting pre- and post-sales activities with a focus on enterprise workload automation solutions. The role involves customer engagement, product demonstrations, and implementation support in both Linux/Unix and Windows environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pre- and post-sales efforts, including Proof of Value (POV) implementations and technical consulting
  • Deliver technical demonstrations and product prototypes for prospective clients
  • Collaborate with the sales team to address technical questions during RFP/RFI processes
  • Resolve complex pre-sales issues by working alongside field sales personnel
  • Educate potential clients on product capabilities and architectural fit
  • Provide expert consultation on enterprise workload scheduling tools
  • Maintain deep understanding of company products, pricing models, and service offerings
  • Operate independently with minimal supervision while consulting with senior engineers as needed
  • Exhibit strong professional communication, interpersonal skills, and technical acumen

Required Skills

  • Experience with Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems and ability to explain complex concepts clearly
  • Effective communication and presentation abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with workload automation platforms (e.g., Control-M, AutoSys, Tidal, or equivalent)
  • Background in software demonstration and technical sales support
  • Experience with programming/scripting languages such as Perl, C++, and PowerShell
  • Previous involvement in customer-facing consulting or sales engineering roles
